Human Rights Commitment

Environmental Responsibility

MobiCycle acknowledges the interconnection between human rights and environmental sustainability. We commit to minimizing our environmental impact and supporting the right to a healthy environment. Our approach aligns with the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants, the Minamata Convention on Mercury, and the Basel Convention. This includes responsible sourcing, waste management, and promoting sustainable practices in our operations and supply chain.

Labor Rights and Workplace Safety

We ensure a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to labor rights standards, providing fair remuneration, and upholding non-discrimination and collective bargaining rights. We conduct regular training on these issues and integrate health and safety factors in procurement decisions. Our commitment extends to eliminating discrimination and ensuring equal pay and opportunities.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

MobiCycle conducts regular human rights impact assessments and due diligence, including in our supply chain, to identify, prevent, and mitigate adverse impacts. We are certified according to SA8000 and other social accountability standards. Our risk analysis covers all stages of our value chain and considers potentially affected groups. The risk analysis is updated regularly and is granular in its approach.

Grievance Mechanism and Remediation

We establish a transparent grievance mechanism, accessible to employees, supply chain workers, and external parties. This mechanism covers a range of issues, including labor rights and environmental grievances.

Monitoring and Reporting

We conduct regular monitoring of our human rights performance, reporting our findings annually. This report includes details on the implementation of our human rights due diligence, covering topics such as labor rights, environmental impact, and stakeholder engagement. The report is transparent and accessible, informing our continuous improvement in human rights practices.

Board Oversight and Accountability

Our board of directors, with a designated member or committee, oversees our human rights strategy and performance. Performance metrics related to human rights commitments are integrated into our management incentive schemes.

Inclusive Policies

MobiCycle's commitment to inclusive policies is a cornerstone of our approach to human rights. We recognize that certain groups face unique challenges and vulnerabilities. Our policy explicitly includes commitments to protect and promote the rights of specific groups such as women, children, indigenous peoples, minorities, persons with disabilities, migrant workers, and their families. Therefore, our policies are designed not only to protect these groups but also to actively promote their rights and well-being.

Environmental Risk

We adhere to environmental management system standards but do not have a current Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) score. Our products comply with environmental safety standards, avoiding hazardous materials, and we have implemented measures to prevent environmental risks.

Preventive Measures

MobiCycle is considering becomeing certified according to ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. We train employees on various issues including child and forced labor, and integrate health and safety factors in procurement. We have specific measures to prevent discrimination, respect working hours, pay living wages, and ensure the right to freedom of association.

Commitment to Human Rights in Business Relationships

In the process of engaging new suppliers or business partners, we conduct thorough due diligence to assess their commitment and adherence to human rights standards. This includes reviewing their policies, practices, and past performance in areas such as labor rights, environmental impact, and ethical business conduct. Only those who meet our human rights criteria are considered for business relationships. We actively seek opportunities to collaborate with business partners on human rights initiatives, such as joint training programs or community development projects.

Integration of Human and Labor Rights in Procurement

We integrate human and labor rights factors within our procurement processes, ensuring our suppliers also adhere to these standards.

Documentation and Data Retention

We maintain documentation and data related to risk analysis, preventive and remedial measures, and complaints received, storing them for a minimum of seven years.
